Before we begin praying for the peace of Jerusalem and the salvation of all Israel pray this prayer:
“Search me, O God, and know my heart. Examine me, know my anxious thoughts, see if there is any offensive way within me, and lead me in the everlasting way.” Psalm 139:23-24 TLV.
As mentioned in yesterday's Parashat Shoftim - "Judges", we have entered into the month of Elul, which is a month of reflection and repentance in preparation for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Let's follow King David's Prayer to ADONAI:
“For You would not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it, nor be pleased by burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” Psalm 51:18-19.
Here are some key prayer points, as you intercede for Israel at this time:
"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil." 1 Peter 3:12.
"But He gives us more grace. This is why it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
1. Pray for the salvation and repentance of Jewish people worldwide, who have not yet received YESHUA as their Messiah.
“Return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey His voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 30:2.
Stand on the Word of ADONAI in YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME!
Elul, in Messianic Judaism, encompasses thankfulness for YESHUA'S atoning sacrifice and the RUACH HA'KODESH (Holy Spirit)’s sealing, as well as examining our hearts to remain in close fellowship with God.
As the shofar sounds in synagogues each day during Elul, let’s also use this period to pray that ADONAI will lift the blindness from Jewish eyes and that they will receive their MESSIAH YESHUA!
2. Pray to forgive all organizations, countries, and people hating ADONAI'S beloved covenant people Israel. In the Americas, Iran, Hamas, China, Russia, and the Palestinian Territories.
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing,” Luke 23:34
YESHUA spoke as He looked down from the cross (The Tree of Sacrifice). YESHUA also experienced mockery, hatred and abuse, leading up to His death:
"41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 42 “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” 44 In the same way the rebels who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him." Matthew 27:41-44.
Forgiveness comes from the heart, and not the mouth only. “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Matthew 6:14.
3. Pray that all of the Hostages still living will be freed from Gaza and returned home to their loved ones and families, in safety.
“He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:2,3.
Following the recovery of six murdered Israeli hostages from Rafah overnight, 97 of the 251 hostages abducted by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza, including the bodies of at least 33 confirmed dead by the IDF.
ABBA FATHER, we pray for the hostages in Gaza to be released, right now, in YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME! We call forth for Your divine intervention at this time! LORD, show your awesome power, rend the heavens and come down to rescue these precious souls!
"1 Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you!
2 As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make Your Name known to Your enemies and cause the nations to quake before You!
3 For when You did awesome things that we did not expect, You came down, and the mountains trembled before You.
4 Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for Him." Isaiah 64:1-4
We ask ABBA, that You would show mercy to the hostages and their families!
4. Pray for P.M. Netanyahu and the Knesset for their personal safety and for wisdom to make proper policies concerning the protection of Israel. Thousands gather to protest outside the Knesset during an emergency meeting of the security cabinet to demand an immediate deal to release the hostages. The crowd includes former Knesset member Rachel Azaria and Jerusalem deputy mayor Yosi Havilio. Pray in the spirit regarding these issues. Day 331 of the war.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel would not rest until it catches those responsible for the killing of the six hostages whose bodies were recovered from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip.
"Summon your power, God; show us your strength, our God, as you have done before." Psalm 68:28
"Whoever murders hostages - does not want a deal," Netanyahu said. The head of Israel's biggest labor union called for a general strike on Monday to pressure Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government to bring back Israeli hostages still held by Hamas in Gaza, as thousands of protesters took to the streets.
Pray for UNITY within Israel, right now!
"And having known their thoughts, He said to them, "Every kingdom having been divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house having been divided against itself will not stand." Matthew 12:25
5. Pray for the brave Israeli IDF Soldiers. Land, Sea, Air, Border Patrol and Shin Bet.
“ADONAI sent His word and healed us.” Psalm 107:20-21.
Three police officers were murdered Sunday morning in a terrorist shooting attack near the Tarqumiya Checkpoint in the Hebron area.
“And for your lifeblood, I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man.” Genesis 9:5-6
"21You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment." Matthew 5:21-22
6. Pray against the demonic attacks of Anti-Semitism and terrorist attacks in Israel, in America and around the world against ADONAI's covenant people.
Now that the new school year has begun, Jewish students have also said that they have experienced higher percentage of antisemitism.
Our Father, You said that you would deal with anyone that curses Your people. “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:1-3.
ADONAI is not a man that He should lie! Amen? If He said it, He will accomplish what He has said!
7. We pray for the U.S. President, the U.S. Congress, and the Supreme Court Justices for the Word of God to rule and reign yet again in all areas of government! We call forth revival and for Biblical principles to take over in all areas of influence across our nation!
We ask, Oh Lord, for Your wisdom, guidance, and Your righteousness to reign, across the United States!
We pray for all those in authority, for governmental leaders, police, fire, and emergency medical staff. We pray for their salvation and for families who will worship the only True LIVING GOD, praying together, loving and respecting each other.
Father, we exercise our authority and uproot crime, violence and every evil thing that tries to raise itself up against the knowledge of MESSIAH YESHUA in our minds and hearts.
We call forth Your Kingdom to come, Your will being done in our lives, in our families, in our nation, as it is in heaven! Give us hearts to seek you and your ways, in YESHUA'S MIGHTY NAME! Amen!
Shalom Watchmen! Thank you for praying for Jerusalem's peace and all Israel's salvation. (Psalm 122:6)
“Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for You have created all things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:8,11.
